According to preliminary information, the Dalit colony caught fire after a riot over a land dispute. The land dispute led to fierce fighting between the two parties, with incidents of scuffles and arson. After this many houses caught fire. The incident took place in the Krishna Nagar Dalit Colony near Nanaura in the district’s Mufsil Police Station limits, where a scuffle broke out.
On getting information about the incident, Circle Officer of Nawada Sadar Vikesh Kumar Singh, police and administration team of Mufsil Police Station reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Officials are camping in the village till late night
