The last message was sent at 10:47 PM. Everything was said to be fine here. At this time the submarine was 2 miles below water. Six seconds later, Titan was pinged for the last time at a depth of 3,346 meters.

During this time there was no communication between the Titan and the ship, which would have signaled any emergency on the submarine. The ship first reported a loss of contact with Titan at 10.49 am.

After that messages were sent every two to three minutes but there was no response from the submarine. After this, the owner of Polar Prince was informed at 11.15 am.

A former employee at the hearing said – the submarine already had many faults
Former Oceangate Chief Engineer Tony Nissin testified for the first time at a court hearing Monday. He said that there is a lot of pressure on us to launch and operate submarines in the deep sea. He said that the submarine had many problems. Even so, they were taken to the deep sea.

Nissin said Titan is never inspected by a third party. That is why they did not approve it. He was fired from the company in 2019 for this reason. Nissin said working with Rush (Oceangate Co. CEO) was difficult. He did what he wanted.

Another witness in court was Bonnie Carl, former CFO of Oceangate Co. Carl said he left the company in 2018 due to security concerns.

Titan was kept at extremely cold temperatures
Investigators told the court the Titan had been stored outside a facility in Newfoundland in freezing temperatures for some time during the winter before the crash. He also said that Titan was facing many problems before the accident.

According to the records, Titan had 70 equipment-related problems in 2021 and 48 problems in 2022.

On June 18 last year, the Titan submarine went missing in the Atlantic Ocean. After 4 days of hard work, his remains were found 1600 meters from the Titanic. 5 people died in this. It also included Oceangate CEO Rush. Apart from this, Pakistani billionaire Prince Dawood and his son also died in the accident.
