The Iranian ambassador was also injured
Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported that Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, was also injured in the blast. Three security sources said the blasted pager was the latest model deployed by Hezbollah in recent months.
Panic in the city
Ambulances have been seen rushing to Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold in the south, since the series of bombings. There is an atmosphere of terror after the bomb blast. A security source said several pagers exploded in southern Lebanon.
Relatives taking the injured to the hospital
People injured in the serial bombings were seen screaming in pain. There is chaos in the streets and markets. The injured were taken to the hospital by their relatives on motorcycles and cars.
Blood flows from the face, eyes and hands and feet
Hassan Wazni, head of Nabatiyeh Public Hospital in the south of the country, told news agency Reuters that about 40 injured people were being treated at his hospital. The face, eyes, hands and feet of the injured are bleeding.
