Rajasthan: 5-Year-Old Aryan Stuck in Borewell for 19 Hours, Rescue Operation Ongoing
In Dausa, Rajasthan, a 5-year-old child named Aryan fell into a borewell and got stuck on Tuesday afternoon. Efforts are continuously being made to rescue the child, but 19 hours have passed and the rescue team has not yet succeeded.
The incident occurred in Kali Khed village, Dausa district, when Aryan Meena, along with his mother Guddi Devi, was heading to the field around 3:30 PM on Monday. On the way, Aryan slipped near the borewell and fell into a 150-foot deep borewell. The news of the child falling into the borewell led to chaos among the police and administration.
After the incident, Dausa Collector Devendra Kumar, MLA Din Dayal Berwa, and other police and administrative officials reached the spot. The SDRF team also arrived at the site, and an NDRF team was called in as well.
Relief and rescue operations started immediately. A parallel pit is being dug to rescue the child, while efforts are also being made to pull him out directly from the borewell. As of Monday at 3:30 PM, nearly 19 hours had passed since Aryan fell into the borewell, but he has not been rescued yet.
According to agencies, rescuers reported seeing movement through a camera around midnight, about 13 hours after the incident. The rescue team is digging a parallel borewell to reach Aryan and is supplying oxygen through pipes. They are also using ropes and other equipment to try to pull the child out.
An official stated that several earth movers and tractors have been deployed to dig the parallel pit. Aryan fell into the open borewell while playing on an agricultural farm in Kali Khed village. The incident happened around 3 PM, and the rescue operation began about an hour later.
