Why does an earthquake occur?
The earth has four major layers. These are called inner core, outer core, mantle and crust. The plates beneath the earth keep rotating and when they collide with each other, vibrations begin beneath the earth’s surface. When these plates move from their place, earthquake tremors are felt. The place where the plates move is most affected by the earthquake.
