Police stopped Rahul-Priyanka from going to Sambhal: stayed at Ghazipur border for 2 hours, then returned; said- will now go on 6 December
Delhi/Sambhal After the violence in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, who were going to meet the victim families there on Wednesday, were stopped by the police at Ghazipur border. Barricading was done.
Angry Congress workers raised slogans. Rahul also talked to the officers. Said- I am ready to go alone in the police vehicle. But the officers did not agree.
Rahul-Priyanka stayed at Ghazipur border for 2 hours, but the officers did not let them proceed. After this Rahul-Priyanka returned to Delhi. They said- will now go to Sambhal on 6 December.
On the orders of the court, a survey of Jama Masjid was being done on 24 November in Sambhal. During this, violence broke out, in which four youths died due to bullet injuries.
Earlier, on Saturday, the delegation of SP and on Sunday, the delegation of Congress had also announced to go to Sambhal. However, the police cordoned off various areas and did not let anyone escape.
